  • I honestly can say she was a Godsend! Anyone who has had a child knows how those first few days outside of the hospital can be.,.one word comes to mind... CHAOS. Not only does Melanie understand what a newborn baby needs, she also takes care of the mom. She anticipated both of our needs and responded in a gentle nurturing way. It takes a lot of trust to let a stranger into your home (especially at night) to take care of you and your brand new little one. But Melanie hit the ground running. She not only ensured our basic needs were met, she went above and beyond. She always showed up on time or early and stayed late when needed-presenting me with a meal in the morning before heading out, she ensured I took my medications on time, she showed me how to use the breast pump, and she sterilized and organized all of my son's supplies. She checked in with my family to give them status updates while allowing me to rest-which I tremendously needed. By the time our session with her ended, she had become an extension of the family. She has a heart of gold, a kind spirit, and a professional but endearing personality. I highly recommend her for doula services and should we decide on another little addition to the family, we will be calling on her services.

A few things that made her amazing: As a first-time mom, she was supportive and followed my exact routine requests, while also providing tips and suggestions on things I wasn't sure about She is very personable, kind, and calming and I trusted her in my house and to take care of my child. She was always on time/early and always communicated in advanced of anything inforeseen things. She was really great about tracking food/sleep/potty. She made the transition into motherhood seamless and was extremely helpful in my healing. Also, her attention to detail did not go unnoticed.
